Engineer Mohammed Ahmed Hussein, Head of Promotion and Policy Advocacy Sector at the General Authority for Investment (GAFI), discussed with Mr. Adel Mohammed Al-Khoulani, Director General of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Sana'a, the partnership to complete the technical and organizational procedures for the issuance of the electronic industrial trade directory.
This meeting comes within the framework of implementing the directives of H.E. Minister of Economy, Industry and Investment Eng. Moeen Hashim Al-Mahakri, and the directives of Mr. Yasser Abdul Karim Al-Mansour, Chairman of SAGIA, and Mr. Ali Al-Hadi, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Sana'a, aimed at enhancing institutional coordination between the public and private sectors, and developing tools to support local investment.
The two sides agreed on the importance of expediting the completion of the executive steps to launch the electronic directory, as it plays a pivotal role in enhancing and improving the business environment and facilitating investors and business partners' access to useful information about investment opportunities with local industrial companies.
The meeting also discussed mechanisms for enhancing joint cooperation and defining roles between the Authority and the Chamber in order to contribute to producing the guide in a modern interactive format that keeps pace with digital transformation and supports efforts to promote industrial investment in Yemen.
The meeting concluded by emphasizing that this project comes in line with the principle of true partnership between the public and private sectors, and in line with the state's directives towards creating a sustainable investment environment based on organization, transparency, and modern informatics.
