On Monday, November 18th, 2024, Deputy Minister of Economy, Industry, and Investment, Mr. Ahmed Mohammed Al-Shawtari, along with Mr. Ali Mohammed Al-Hadi, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Capital Secretariat of Sana'a, inaugurated the "Zina Al-Hayat" Carnival. The event, organized by Bayt Al-Rahal Exhibitions in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Capital Secretariat of Sana'a, takes place at Al-Wehda Sports Club in Sana'a and will run for ten days.
The carnival features extensive participation from private sector companies specializing in locally produced and imported food products, as well as showcasing products from entrepreneurs, productive families, businesswomen, and small and emerging enterprises.
During the opening ceremony, Mr. Al-Shawtari emphasized the government's commitment to promoting national products and facilitating all necessary procedures to support them. He praised the role of the private sector in bolstering market supplies and ensuring the availability of essential goods.
Mr. Ahmed also commended the active participation of small enterprises, entrepreneurs, artisans, and productive families, affirming that the ministry will provide them with the necessary support and work to overcome the obstacles they face to enhance their production and ensure the sustainability of their activities.
Mr. Ali Mohammed Al-Hadi, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Capital Secretariat of Sana'a, reiterated the Chamber's dedication to supporting and encouraging the private sector in organizing exhibitions and events that reflect their activities and contribute to enhancing the market with competitively priced products. He also praised the private sector's role in securing supply chains for the market and ensuring the availability of goods easily and effectively, calling for the provision of a suitable investment climate for the private sector.
The carnival includes four diverse pavilions: the "Sukar" pavilion featuring chocolates, biscuits, sweets, juices, and mineral and carbonated water; a pavilion for professional art and design; a pavilion for games; and an open-stage pavilion.
