The Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Sana'a announced the establishment of the advertising and marketing sector (visual, audio and digital), as the latest qualitative sector within its organizational structure, with the aim of supporting this vital field and enhancing its role in the national economy.
The announcement came during the founding meeting organized by the Chamber's Qualitative Sectors Department, chaired by Chairman Ali Mohammed Al-Hadi, in the presence of his deputy, Mohammed Mohammed Salah, and the wide participation of businessmen and representatives of advertising companies and marketing offices.
During the meeting, the leadership of the sector was elected, where Mohammed bin Humaid won the presidency of the sector, Waleed Al-Ahdal as first vice president, Ahmed Al-Muqalli as second vice president, Kamal Al-Dailami as third vice president, Mohammed Al-Shibh as general secretary, Jamal Al-Khoulani as rapporteur, and a number of representatives of advertising companies and offices.
The Chamber's Board of Directors approved the formation of the sector's governing body, in the presence of members of the Executive Board and sector managers.
The establishment of this sector comes in response to the demands of representatives of the advertising sector, who reviewed the most prominent challenges they face, especially the issue of licenses and operational obstacles, stressing the need for an organized entity that protects their interests.
The Chamber affirmed its commitment to providing institutional support to the sector, in order to enhance its role in developing the advertising and marketing market, creating job opportunities, and achieving sustainable economic returns.
