The Minister of Economy, Industry and Investment, Engineer Moeen Al-Mahakri, praised the quality of the gypsum produced by the National Gypsum Factory in Sana'a Governorate, stressing that the Ministry will stand by the factory in developing the production and marketing processes, in order to encourage this national industry and benefit from local raw materials to reach the localization of the gypsum industry.
He also emphasized the ministry's commitment to protect the factory's products against imported products, which will contribute to operating the factory at full capacity and expanding its share in the local market.
The Minister reviewed the progress of work in the factory on Thursday, 3/13/2025, located in Sana'a governorate, where he listened to an explanation of the stages of gypsum production and the mechanisms of adherence to quality standards, as well as the issues and obstacles facing the factory's activity.
The Minister of Economy, Industry and Investment pointed out that the new investment law gave local factories that use local raw materials great and unprecedented incentives and privileges with the aim of encouraging national industries based on local raw materials and creating an economic and developmental movement.
